Singapore to Mumbai to Pune, Feb. 4-5

Had my spa day in Singapore. Tried an aromatherapy massage that was quite good. She worked on the pressure points in the back of my head and it helped my congestion. I actually felt some hints of clear breathing when I left. Couldn't help but do a little shopping in a city/country that has more shopping malls per square inch then any other place in the world.

Got an early morning flight to Mumbai. I was met at the airport by Mr. Vikram More. He was punctual and very happy to see me. The air in Mumbai was worst then I've ever seen it, especially right around the airport that is surrounded by miles of shanty towns.

The drive to Pune took about 3 1/2 hours and I think I slept most of the way.

Since I changed my arrangements to India a few times because of illness, Vikram sent me an email offering to let me stay at his house if I should get sick in Pune and have his wife take care of me. I wonder if his wife knew he volunteered her services?

We went directly to my apartment where the owners Uma and Datta Dhavale met me and gave me the tour of the place. Its very spacious and very close to where I stayed before. Now you're probably wondering where are the pictures? Where I have them but the problem is that I am typing this on a PC and it doesn't seem to want to accept my flash drives that are formatted on my mac. I may have to download the pics on both a PC formatted drive and also a MAC formatted drive in order to get it on this blog. So, unfortunately, until I figure it out, you are only going to get text.

This apartment has a PC and using an internet connection that is not wireless. That's why I can't use my MAC. Ugh.

I signed up for classes and got primarily Geeta's classes. Yah!!! I've had a wonderful pranayama class yesterday and a tough seated/standing pose class tonight that was not good for my vertigo. I talked to one of Geeta's assistant and she is going to talk to Geeta about giving me some special poses to help me with my middle ear problem.

I've already met quite a few nice people: gal from Portland; a couple of gals from Denmark; couple from Bangkok one of whom originally is from LA; and a few others who were here a couple of years ago. Meagaan Baas from Orange County is here and Anna Delury came in this evening looking rather spent from her long travels.

I've observed a couple of medical classes. Geeta yelled at a few of the teachers who she said were not to touch the students/patients unless they were Junior 1. Altho I am Jr. 1, I've been sitting on the sidelines and observing all thats been going on. Been learning a lot in those classes.

Guruji is in fine form. That man just keeps going and giving. Today he was instructing Ahbie in backbends. For a man of 90 years, he truly does not look like it nor act like it! He is inspiring to watch in his daily practice as he observes all of us in our practice.

I had lunch with Nana, the auto rickshaw driver on the 4th. We tried to catch up on all thats been going on with each of us. He took me to finally get my cell phone straightened out. The guy at the Airtel (cellphone place) was the same guy who sold me my phone. He remembered me and I remembered him. He welcomed me back to my "second home."

I hope I can figure out the picture thing for this computer so I can add them to this blog. But instead of waiting around for me to do so, I decided I had better write before I forget what it is I did these past few days.
